Anyone have any of these? I I can trade or send SASBE too, if interested. Also, I have heard tell of a blue 4 oclock. Anybody?
Wanted. "Broken colors" 4 o'clocks
What do you mean by "broken"? I've got four o'clocks that bloom hot pink and a plant that blooms yellow. One yellow bush is full of yellow blooms and there are a few blooms on that plant which have both pink and yellow petals. Imagine that! My four o'clocks have history. They were started by my husband's great aunt in the early '40's. I dug some up from the old home place and now they are growing everywhere in my yard and flower beds.
However, I don't have any blue ones. I'm sure they are out there though.
Hi KayKay,
I have some broken colors, they are fuschia and yellow. I'll try to get some pics for you. I'll have to hand harvest the seeds over the next week or so, as I normally just collect all the seeds in one tin w/out separating.
I will also have coral and bright fuschia in the next few weeks. I have unsorted seed now, if anyone would like some to trade. I'm updating my trade list (or trying to!)
Thanks,
~Sunny
Thanks to all of you. I am interested in the ones with bright colors. I would love the bi color or broken, or both. Please Dmail me. My DH loves these and I thought he would be surprised if we got the different colored ones. He doen's even know there are any like that. I try to keep him happy so I can continue to get more plants. What a crazy addiction!! I did not even know there were coral..............I'd like some of those too. ...................still nothing about the blue?
Hi KayKay,
Below are a couple pics of my Four O'clocks that are blooming this evening. They are beautiful! I have lots with broken colors. No seeds yet, a bit too early. I will have plenty of seeds in about a month. There are pink and yellow, white and pink broken colors. Plus, solids. Click on the photo's to get an up close view of them. At the top left you will see the white with pink. Let me know if you are interested in some seeds, but it will be a while before they are ready. Take care.

Kaykay, I look for blue four o'clocks. The only place I saw it mentioned was a place called Bodger's. They had a packet of seeds called "Red White and Blue Mix" that listed blue four o'clocks - but no photo.
Hope that helps!
~Sunny
Thanks, the elusive hunt goes on.
