this picture looks similiar to the bugs in have found eating my marigolds. my neighbor has called them asian beetles. is this true and how do i get rid of them? they have totally destroyed my flowers.

julie, I am sorry, but this cannot be your beetles as it is an Australian species photographed in Australia.
I am afraid I know nothing about controlling your pests,
