Here's a few of my aroids. I got bit by the bug a few years ago. My collection of aroids is still fairly small, but I love the ones I've got! Here's a few of them...
(I'll have to edit back in later for the names I can't remember off the top of my head)
Here's one of my new pride & joys... Philodendron goeldii.
Some of my aroids...
Last one for now (and not a very good pic)... this one is as yet unidentified. It's a dwarf or miniature stature plant - a small self-heading philo. The small strap-like leaves only get about 4" long (mabye to 6" if you include the petiole). It's also somewhat slow growing. I think this one also would prefer a little more shaded area.
Very interesting and impressive. The last one and that monstera I dont believe I have. I do have one similar to the last one that was collected by a friend but I believe it is a climber. Your last one might be a mutated Xanadu I have seen them with wide leaves and almost strap leaves like this all out of TC.
Very nice collection.
Thanks! Here's another - Epipremnum pinnatum 'Skeleton Key'. Brian, this one came from you! It's growing very well. Leaves are about 6" so far. They are getting more and more "Key" shaped with each leaf. The pic isn't great, but you can see the leaves. It's growing on a cork board, but it's almost at the top! I have to get it something else very soon!!
One last... this is one of my favorites. Philo 'Painted Lady'. The new leaves are bright orange!
edited to add, that's Philo 'Jupiter' (a self header) peaking in on the right. On the left, the variegated plant is variegated myrtle, Myrtus communis variegata. From the bottom is Ceiba bombax 'Pod Party' (a variegated Kapok Tree).

Epipremnum pinnatum 'Skeleton Key is extremely rare I believe I have been the only person to have ever sold it. It was first thought to be a new species and then later ID by Peter boyce to be a odd form of Pinnatum. It would be very interesting to see what it does for you once mature.
Well, it seems to love it here so far. The plant you sent me last spring (or so, can't exactly remember when) is probably 5 times its size. It's growing like crazy and has sent out about 4 extra shoots from the base. Not a spot on any leaf and it's a very nice green color.
Well, I thought the plant lust was working pretty well with first glimpse of your Variegated philo. imbe ("Must have one . . . must have one"), then I saw your Monstera. **SWOON** What a beauty! How long have you been growing that guy, and did you find him locally? I have to go back now and give equal time to the rest of your images, but those two just completely grabbed me. Oh what fun!
Chris - THGA
On a sad note I don't believe your philo painted lady is not philo painted lady. On a much brighter note it is a much harder to find and rare philo I believe it went by the name orange prince at one point but their are a few other birdsnest forms using this name now so its true ID I am not sure. I am growing both plants and painted lady will be much more yellow with green blotches and this gets a much longer narrower leaf with new leaves coming out orange. Here is a pic of my plants and I will add a painted lady below it.
Ya, your top one does look more like mine. Mine is defintely a climber, not a birdsnest type, so maybe it is the 'Orange Prince'. It was given to me as PL, so that's just what I called it. Either way, I love it - the new orange leaves are my favorite part of it! I had my doubts about it being PL, but I've never put any time into researching it. Thanks, Brian!
Of course, not that means I have to find the REAL 'Painted Lady', lol!
I have plenty of nice ones if your looking.
It is a great philo and is being mass produced by a few TC labs its name is Philodendron x 'Moonlight'
carter, your monstera is amazing! could you please share your secret on getting it so big. do you have it in the ground? thanks for sharing your beautiful collection.
The monstera is in the ground, but the "secret" is let it attach itself to something so that it can grow up. The more it grows up (once it attaches to something, in this case, my wall), the bigger the leaves get. This is one of "those" plants that I have that everytime I pass by it, look at it, water it, whatever, it reconfirms my love of growing plants. Just amazing.
I have to agree... just amazing
Carter do you leave your plants out all winter or move them inside?
