Alpine and Pensetmon lovers, I have Penstemon davidsonii!

Today I harvested Penstemon davidsonii var davidsonii at Slide Mountain, Nevada. The photo I'm posting is borrowed because my photos are still on the film in the camera (who knows how long it will take to digitize them). These are gorgeous little mat-forming plants with big amethyst colored flowers. I have about 1000 seeds to trade. They are very tiny, about the size of poppy seeds. These will need to spend some time in cold, wet weather (or in damp sand in the refrigerator) to germinate. They plants prefer sandy or rocky, well drained soil and slightly acid conditions.

I'll send a few of these SASE but I would like to trade most of them.
