Could this be Maya?

Redford, MI(Zone 6a)

It has variegated leaves and has at least 15 blooms and buds on it. When I bring it in for the winter will I want to cut it back or just leave it alone before I let it go dormant? The label says Sunset.

Please see the thread I just posted in regard to identifying a Brug via pictures http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/642511/

My advice would be to search the internet for "Sunset" to see if the blooms look like yours. New Brugs are being introduced almost daily.

From my research of variegated brugs., it first would be helpful to have a definitive answer as to a distinct difference between Tropical Sunset, Sunset, and Maya. One school has them identified as the same, another as different.

I don't believe Tropical Sunset is in the running. It's not variegated, is it?

You are correct, Gaylams, my mistake. Tropical Sunset does not have variegated leaves. Perhaps I worked in the sun too long today. :)

Thanks everyone, I guess I may never know but it's a keeper for sure!

This is today, I counted 15 blooms. The first bloom is now starting to turn a slight peach and I wonder what color they will end up being. This is fun!

If yours is like mine it's a real winner!

Mine has a solid white sport every year. It would really be a thing to behold if the darned humidity didn't turn it brown! ( I knew better, but last year I just had to try rooting it. Of course it died from lack of chlorophyl.)

At one time, there was a big discussion going on that Maya and Sunset were the same Brug. Several people were growing them to see if they were different but I don't know what the outcome was.Plants Delight sells Sunset.
