Wow that's one good looking noid!

If that one is a semiminiature, I believe it is 'Anthoflores Little Barty'.

It's stunning!

Does this look like it? If so, your plant has it's official name!

Hey MsC....

Oh how very pretty!

TFS!

Hey, you ladies are amazing!
I'll bet that's exactly it! Looks like the pic.

Won't CritterO be surprised??

I love it it is a semi & reminds me of the ole 'FireBird'.

Too cool....

Looks similar to 'Rob's Boondoggle' too.

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Yes, that's what I thought at first too!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Wonder if Rob used this to hybridize his Boondoggle?

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Rob's Violets are soooo interesting... I have a few of the trailers and they sport like the dickens...lol
You never know what they are gonna do...no wonder there are so many.

Now where is Jill????

Hmm. One can only think...

Now you've got me curious about your sports. Anything interesting? One time I had a 'Pixie Blue' that started growing variegated leaves. I was so excited. I quickly put down the variegated ones hoping I would have a new variety. Turned out the variegation was unstable and gradually disappeared on the original plant and the leaves produced solid green. Wouldn't it have been neat though?

Snowrose,

Oh that would have been a sight to see....I love my little Pixie Blue. One of my favorites!

Joanne...I know. Imagine a variegated Pixie Blue!! That's why I was so happy but no luck. As I read my AVSA mags for show winners, I see Pixie Blue is still going strong. It just has the charm.

LOL... Jill has been harvesting in the garden! I got 20 pounds of tomatoes cut up for another batch of roasted tomato sauce, and I seeded and minced chile peppers (cayenne & serrano) for a quart or so of puree that I'll turn into hot sauce, and then my hand gave out (sprained my thumb or something last week when my hoe hit a rock, hard).

I'm glad it finally bloomed for you, MsC! It's one of my very favorites -- such a bright splash of color on a delicate bloom -- but it doesn't bloom for me very often.

I've thought it looks a lot like 'Rob's Boondoggle', and it sure does look like 'Anthoflores Little Barty' too. That's the trouble with trying to put a name to a noid, LOL. If you know the plant had a name when you bought it, and you've just lost the tag, you might have a chance... otherwise, I think the best you can do is to label it "noid, Rob's Boondoggle lookalike."

This one came from Dutch Plant Farm, in Frederick, without a nametag.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Jill.....all the violets from Dutch Plant Farm are Anthoflores. Sounds like you have been working hard making your delicious sauces and all from fresh tomatoes. Yum!

Aha! Then we probably do have a solid ID -- how exciting!! Thanks!

And this is entirely O/T, but for anybody with access to fresh tomatoes, you've just got to try Bluekat76's recipe for roasted tomato sauce. It takes a lot of tomatoes (I estimated 40 pounds of tomatoes yielded a little over 4 quarts of sauce), but the flavor is so intense that a cup of this ambrosia will sauce a pound of pasta. Check out this thread, http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/544594/#new

Also, hot sauce recipes are here, http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/530835/#new

Mmmmmmm!!!

I know what I'll be doing now with all my tomatoes. Thanks, Jill!

That is a gorgeous NOID! I love it!
