Hope someone can help me. My mom bought a machine that you put your VHS tape in and a blank DVD-R and it copies the VHS onto the DVD-R. Great. Now all our home movies are on DVD-R. Mine are not in sequence because our movie camera took the little cartridges that you had to have an adapter to play, looked like a vhs tape that you popped the cartridge into, and when I had backed them up onto VHS years ago, I did not put them in any kind of order. My main concern was just backing them up. So now I have about 30 or so DVD-R's that I would like to edit and put into sequence, and I thought it would be no problem to just go into Microsoft Movie Maker and use the capture video feature, but nooooo, that would be way too simple. LOL It says no capture device detected, and I cannot get it to just read from the DVD-R.
When I look at the DVD-R contents, it shows 2 folders, VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS and inside those folders are files with IFO, VOB, BUP & DAT extensions.
If anyone has had experience with this, I would really appreciate some advice. Not that I am not thrilled to have these saved to DVD (the color was really degrading on the tapes!) but I would really like to have them saved in order instead of the first one being DD 8th grade graduation and then the next one she is an infant. LOLOL
