Thanks, Connie. The lady who made the cup is an artist and used to sell all sorts of gorgeous pieces including entire place settings of pottery. About the time I thought I could afford to start collecting and would have been happy with some of her seconds, her MS became really bad and she finally quit. Such a shame, but I noticed that she has moved her kiln to her new house, so perhaps she is able to work again.

If something happens that you can't post a thread starter, I'll be happy to do it occasionally. Some mornings I am up early (5 a.m. today), but then there are the days I am very lazy.

I like your cups. I guess it's what we have around all the time that we grow tired of. My current favorite mugs are two big ones from the Dollar Store; I picked them up after Christmas when I finally stored the huge Christmas mugs somewhere around the end of February. Well, it WAS still cold, and I LIKE pictures of snowflakes and pine trees, and they held nearly two cups of coffee. I would like to BE where there are snowflakes and pine trees right now!

I have spent most of the morning cleaning kitchen counter tops and stove top. It doesn't sound like much, but that black gas stove top with grill on one side and downdraft vent has lots of hiding places for grease and debris. Greased Lightning and a single-edged razor blade can work miracles. DH really wanted that stovetop as it is perfect for his cast iron cookware collection, but he is never the one who cleans it. I miss the glasstop electric I left at the previous house. My renter loves it!

Now I am going to make myself a big glass of iced tea and put my feet up for a while. Hope everyone has a happy week-end. I'm going to find something a little more fun to do this afternoon!

Thanks, Patricia!

I really enjoy posting it, but when I forget I feel bad! I will do it most of the time, so thanks for filling in when I forget, and we will get to see your beautiful hand-made mug again sometime!

DH invited guests over for tonight, so I"m cleaning...washing clothes, pulling weeds, just mowed.... need to edge...at least HE"S COOKING!~!!!!!! so I just have to do the other stuff. We often trade "traditional roles"...
he does the washing and cooking and I do the gardens and the "fix-it " stuff.

Connie
