I'm so glad ya'll like my pics...I don't have anyone here to share em with.. everyone who see em just shakes their heads & says...You have too many plants..lol
Oh well I knew ya'll would enjoy em.

All of them are at least 1- 2 years old... I pray over them frequently! :)

Yesterday's Sapphire Trail is my favorite but I really need to make it trail. It is just begining to throw a sucker off & I did get another one to compare it to. The blooms are almost true to color also. It is a stunning lil plant.

Hey MsC...

Found this description for it....what does olva mean?

Yesterday's Sapphire Trail (J. Smith) Large double medium blue pansy. Medium green, hairy, elongated olva/some red backing. Standard trailer (User Database)

Sounds pretty to me.

Hey MsC....

Is it okay if I use your photo to put in my FC2?

Thanks,

Whoa, MsC, those are FABULOUS!!! Makes me so happy that I have baby trailers...they are going to be great. Thanks for showing me the future (I hope~lol)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Joanne....must be 'elongated OVAL' referring to leaf shape. LOL!!!!

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Duh!!! Now why didn't I think of that...must be a typo in the description but that makes sense allright.

Thank you.

Joanne

Yep, that is surely a typo... it's supposed to be "oval" and they are!
It's a really cool plant.Very hairy very oval very very rich blue!

Yes, you can use the pics for FC... what a nice compliment! I plan to send in a pic to AVSA and see if they might use it??? There isn't one on the site for comparison.Wish me luck??

PP thatnk you for the nice compliment too! They are fabulous & such a joy to grow. Hnag in there I'm sure yours will look every bit a nice.

I just found this thread and I love your photos MsC. My favorite one is the one in the terrarium. Great plants. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jesse,
I love my terrariums & most AV's do very well in them, if you keep them potted.
That particular terrarium was a gift from our dear rose318 or Patti!
Its one of my favorites!

Where can I get a Yesterday's Sapphire Trail? That's the most beautiful blue I've ever seen on a AV!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

MsC's came from The Violet Gallery, looks like they only have leaves at the moment. See their photo of it at http://www.violetgallery.com/html%20pics/yesterdayssapphire.html

I'm not sure how exactly true to color MsC's photo might be -- I know I have lots of trouble getting blue and purple blooms to photograph true. MsC?

I have a little leaf pot of it, but nothing yet to share. Somebody else might be willing to work out a trade though! :-)

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

wooconley,
CritterO is right.. the camera enhances the blue a bit too much.. it is however a beautiful shade different thatn the ordinary blue purples that are fairly common. I'd say it's more of a dark royal blue.

It is a slow trailer too... it is probale going on 2 years old & is just now beginning to trail. I wondered about it's ID so I bought another & it is setting it's first bloom so we shall see how they compare.
