sod in Arlington TX

Arlington, TX

Dear All
After this summer, I'll need to resod my back yard. I do have dogs, and trees. I'm thinking about zoysia, el toro. I have a vague memory that there is supposed to be a wonderful grass farm in or near Arlington. I'll bet someone here knows the name. I've googled, but the names that pop up are jogging my memory.

help!

I almost forgot. I'm also thinking about sprinkling wildflower seeds in the same lawn.

am I lost in the land of fantasy?

Cynthia, If I recall correctly you have deep shade in the back yard, are you planning to thin out your trees?

dear Josephine
I have dappled shade and some full sun. The huge pecan tree allows dappled light and I've read that zoysia only needs 2 hours of full sun per day. I have tons of sun from thanksgiving until Easter, then the dappled. It was too much light for fescue and too little for others, so hopefully this tough grass that doesn't mind dogs is my answer.

The tree was thinned out years ago when it was younger.

Well I guess I didn't recall correctly, I am glad you have the right conditions for what you want to achieve, your yard looks soo pretty, and with the back all fixed up, it will be even better.
