I had wondered where she had gone for so long. I knew she was moving but I got a Dmail from her the other day. She has spent the last 2 weeks in the hospital due to a stroke. She is now at home but I’m sure she could use some kind words from her friends here at Dave's.

you are in my thoughts and prayers, I know what you are going though I had a stroke easter Sunday and a mini stroke June 13 , get all the the ot, pt and speech therpty they offer I took 3 months worth .I am now moving all my left side even if its still weaker than my right .you cant tell by looking at me that I have had one. Do everything they tell you to do and you will recover.

Ma Vie wrote me today to thank us all for the kind thoughts and prayers. Like I had said earlier she is at home but in a lot of pain mostly due to a spinal tap and severe migrains. She will get back to us when she is feeling better. THank you all for your support!

to ALL my DG Family, yes U are all family to me. i sincerely and deeply appreciate all the love and prayers everyone has accorded me.
the unbearable pain i had to endure is similar to a strong elastic being stretch to a max. the elastic in my case are the group of muscles along and around my back waistline where spinal tap was done by doctors to relieve the migraine headaches. had i known that the spinal tap would eventually caused to prevent me from walking and endure unbearable pains, i would not had it done.
getting in and out of bed or any sitting position, takes me about an hour to move about: i have to find the 'right' spot to pick in order to make a move and get on my feet. standing and walking is another story in itself. the longest i can stand on my feet would be 30 mins. and that is the maximum. when i walk these days is similar to a snail's phase. i walk with the aid of cane. eventually, i hope my doctor will allow me to have crutches or better yet a wheel chair. i am due to meet with the doctors next week.
so far, i have had several strokes in the past few years. my doctors tell me, it is some kind of miracle that i do not suffer from physical disfigurement or any permanent damage.
if not for the love and prayers from each and everyone here @ DG, i probably would be in a far worst situation. again i thank each and everyone for being here for me... God Bless!,

Oh my, you have suffered so. I have heard where spinal anesthesia can cause such terrible complications. You always were so active, it must me so hard on you. Best of luck to you, Ma Vie! I hope it improves soon and you feel much better.
