Self Watering tree?
Yea it's here... *giggle it hit a water main!
All they had to do to check that out was turn off the water to the property for a little while. Since they didn't do that until SAWS finally got around to checking days later makes we wonder if maybe they were enjoying the publicity. I mean, some woman with an ill child even traveled to S.A. to go to the tree, hoping for a miracle for the child. Some miracle!
People will believe anything is a miracle won't they....so sad she traveled so far, just saw it on the news.
Carlos Guerra's column in the Express-News today expressed an interesting viewpoint.
Several ailing persons who sampled the water said they felt relief from their symptoms. If our SAWS water is special, we should show more respect and try harder to protect its source, the Edwards Aquifer.
We should work harder to maintain our aquifer. But I think the placebo effect could be in play in this instance. The important thing is a placebo CAN make you feel better.
Oh, I agree about the placebo effect, or as Cary Clack's column (I read the paper rather thoroughly!) pointed out sometimes a person needs to believe, and faith is a very personal thing.
I dont believe it! My cousins in Florida sent me this link! They are thinking God created a water hole ... and this has been going on for days ... before the W ater Department got involved? Oh Boy!
Ignorance leads a lot of people to attribute natural phenomena to the supernatural or to a miracle from God. All around the world there are bleeding statues, statues that weep or wink, or, and the list could go on forever, crop circles made by aliens, UFO's, cannibals, healing waters.....
Yes, and faces in toast! When all around us are miracles from above!
Faces in toast?
There was a clip on the news of a piece of toast that had the face of Jesus burned into it. What people don't see, I think that one was supposed have been auctioned on ebay...
... they auctioned off the piece of toast?
I don't think there is 'anything' that won't sell on ebay! And some nut that will buy it or as PT Barnum said ~ a sucker born every minute?
LOL!
My brother did a search on e-bay once just for fun and found someone was selling his dog poo out of his backyard. I think it was at 5$ when he looked at it.
The wierdest ebay item I have seen was a pint fruit jar of east Texas air? Never followed thru to see if it sold tho.... amazing! pod
