I transplanted this vine from the woods on the back of my property. It is between blooms now, but has several fruits on it. This the most interesting wild vine that I have here. Is there any use for the fruit? John
Passion Fruit
I don't know if the fruit from all the passion vines are edible, but if they are, then yours is too, and they are very tasty! Let it ripen to a purple, then bite the top off and suck out the insides, seeds and all and swallow. it should be sweet.
Hey John how about saveing one for me so i can plant the seeds Regards Paul
You bet, Paul, they are growing everywhere here. Are you in the addy? John
Yes i am
um, John, could I possibly get some seeds from you as well? I have some seeds I could trade. :) Or I could do postage, or maybe even a brug cutting this fall. Just let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks so much, John, you're wonderful!! Yes, I'm listed in the addy.
Would you like any seeds, brug cutting (unknown, gorgeous pink) or postage?
Felicia, I just told Paul just to suprise me I now like any thing that blooms. I stated in my post to you that I would send a whole pod. But I since learned that I need to remove the seeds and let them dry. I just went to my pond dam, which is actualy in my front yard, and found several mature and dryed pods. I will open and let the seeds dry.
Passiflora incarnata? Good job, John. They say they germinate well sown as a fruit. Needing the juice or something. I don't know, where are the experts today?
Kenton, I was going on the advice and instructions on the plant files. Look under the common name "maypop" John
I see.
How about seeds for me too, PLEASE
No problem, Doris.
