Alsobia Cygnet??

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Do these only come in the white with the purple specks? Does anyone grow theirs in a hanging basket?

Alsobia 'Cygnet' produces blossoms as you described only. There are different varieties of alsobia such as 'dianthaflora', San Miguel, Chiapas (grows upright). All produce blossoms that are similar with variations as to size, fringed edges, throat spots, etc. All are white.

Other than 'Chiapas', all would be ideal in hanging baskets as the foliage is trailing. Planted in the ground in tropical climates, alsobias would be a groundcover sending out their stolons and rooting similar to Episcias.

Snow,
Thanks for the info. The flowers are very pretty. I am going to try to put mine in a hanging basket. I have more ceiling space than table space. :)

Your 'Cygnet' should do very well in a basket as it is a hearty grower and bloomer. Perfect really.
