My lawn is primarily bent grass, green during winter rains; brown in summer dry season ( mid June to early Oct ) Need info. on a lawn grass that is green in summer with less than 1 in. H2O a week. Has anyone tried rhizomatous tall fescue in the 'banana belt' ~ Crescent City CA to Gold Beach OR?

Tall fescue will turn brown due to rust.
It will take the traffic and less water tho. It isn't as fine leaved as perennial ryegrass.
I work for a grass seed company and we are doing some research on the rhizome tall fescue. Is a slow process on make new varieties yet.
