night blooming jasmine in Utah??

American Fork, UT

Hi I'm new here. My hubby and I are going to start a beautiful garden in our yard, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
My question for the moment is can night blooming jasmine survive in Utah? If you know, please let me know!!

Gold Beach, OR(Zone 9a)

You did not mention your zone. I grow the night blooming jasmine here in Oregon, zone 9, but its barely hardy here. Anything colder than about 28 degrees, they die. You might be okay with them in a container and overwintering indoors or in a garage. They will not like cold and will not tolerate much frost.

We are in zone 6. although I love some of the flowers and trees we can grow in this zone, I hate that we can't have jasmine (that I know of) and Gardenia....
I have, however found some really pretty flowers and shrubs that I can plant..... so if anyone knows of any type of Jasmine I can grow, let me know...I know they have what they call Gardenia Griffs that can survive in zone 6, but I am worried that they don't smell the same....

Some of the gardenias would do well for you I think. Maybe Kleims Hardy, its got a big single flower and would handle the cold well. And maybe sweet olive, osmanthus, I think that would also tolerate the cold, there are several varieties and in my opinion the scent is better than jasmine. I also just got a jasmine steph...don't know the spelling but I think its pretty cold hardy, nice pink flowers all summer, very fragrant.
