Do you usually stay up late? During the school year (I teach 9th English) I have to call it quits at 12, but during the summer I was usually up until 2 or 3....sometimes later...I hate to go to bed!!

Boerne new zone 30, TX(Zone 8b)

during the week I try to get to bed before 11. I have to be at work at 8:30 and I hate mornings! *giggle

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

I'm teaching an early morning class (zero hour) this year, so I have to be there at 7:30, but I can leave at 3, so I'm happy!!

Hey....Calvin....still there?

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Jamar (the cheetah cub) and I are here . . . we're give'n each other a little break ;)

How's it go'n up Austin way this AM? It's kinda warm and a muggy down here. My meter on the front porch says 80/80 . . . temp/humidity.

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

Hi GD! Is pretty hot here...don't have an outdoor meter but it was so hot here today my inside meter said 79 and I had it set on 76! It just wouldn't pull it down enough!!

Do you really have a cheetah????

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Indeed it's been WAY hot again lately!!! I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever get any more of that wet stuff around here??

Well . . . the cheetah is not mine . . . not the real/live one anyway . . . it's a painting I'm working on. :D Here's a thread that should give you a better idea of what I mean ;)

Thanks for the link! I really enjoyed reading the thread and --of course!!--watching your progress on the little Cheetah! You are very talented...will the painting be auctioned?

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Aww well thanks . . . yeah they will have an auction at the fund raiser later this month to benefit all the animals at the sanctuary. Hopefully the painting of this little guy will help the cause some.

When I get time I intend to paint his twin brother also, but it won't be until after the auction. So they will put it in their gift shop. :)

You guys just can't get to bed it looks like. I can't stay up, my eyes get heavy and I start dozing off. But early in the morn, I can think clearer and the eyes are open too!!
The DH moved all of the rocks off of our waterfall yesterday. We have had a leak for the last couple of weeks and were trying to trace it down. It isn't in the pond liner, we were able to isolate it and rule it out. So before digging hoses and connections, we are looking at the waterfall. Sure enough just under the biofall lip it was muddy behind the liner. Water was seeping between the biofalls and the liner connection point. We will seal it this morning then put the rocks back on. Well he will, my back won't let me lift those rocks! Here is what it looked like before. Hope we can get it to look as good again.

Beautiful pond!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Very nice indeed :)

That does sound like a bit of a chore . . . hope ya get it back to form soon.

Frisco, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila, That is a gorgeous pond and waterfall. It looks so natural. Did you design /build this yourselves?

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

What a pretty waterfall Sheila.

Connie -- how exciting about getting 50% off of one of those pots at the Great Outdoors. I loved visiting that place with you. Please take a pic of your new pot if you get a chance and show us so we can oooh and aaahhh over it. :-)

Hi Calvin. Are you working hard? I know I sure have been. It is nice to have a day off and relax. I hope to plant my fall tomato seedlings in my Earthboxes today. I am very excited.

Everyone have a great day!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Yes, teacup, we did it ourselves, but we were about 6 years younger then LOL!! It was dug by hand by my DH,DS and me. The worst part was we don't have access to the backyard with anything but a hand pulled wagon or wheel barrow. So all 3 tons of rock was moved by hand from the driveway in front of the house. That is part of my back problems now I am sure!

Great sale Connie, please do take a picture of the pot(S) you end up with. I know you are not going to come home with only one!! LOL!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

teacup,
I ran across this thread. Hobby Lobby is another source you might try. They do have sales on their garden stuff before Christmas, but it may be too late.
