Gymgirl, I was looking at your lovely photos of this flower, and compared to the others on the 'Disco Belle Pink' entry, it is quite a different color. Rather than the Pink, do you think it could be 'Disco Belle Rose Pink'? It certainly resembles the others on this entry: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/40901/index.html

Weezingreens,
I got the name from the plant container...Just not sure, here, but the DG people who post say they research before the put a pic in a category, so I just trusted their judgement. Thanks for the alternate possibility.

The images are reviewed to ensure no photos that are erroneous, such as a family photo accidentally uploaded but I'm sorry we don't, simply can't, research each and every photo for identification.

we generally remove photos with no definite identification, if the container name has any further clues please let us know :)

Thanks, Baa.

I'm content to leave the post where it is...in any case, we know that it is a Hibiscus, Disco Belle. Pink or Rose Pink!

Actually our image submission guidelines warn users to"[b]e sure your image is of this particular plant. Questionable or unidentified images will be removed from the PF; if you need to have a plant identified, consider using our Identification forum."

Baa is correct: we (usually) spot the obviously wrong images (such as if you had posted this to a tree or cucumber entry with a similar name ;o), but we don't have any sort of "vetting" process that thoroughly reviews and approves each image before it is released into PlantFiles. (Hence the after-the-fact conversations such as this.)

I'm afraid if your plant can't be positively ID'd, we'll have to remove it for now - otherwise we may unwittingly create confusion and misidentified plants down the road, when users rely on your image as a bona-fide example of 'Disco Belle'

You're welcome to post your photo in the Hibiscus and/or ID forum for assistance in getting a confirmed name for it.

OK, Terry,
I AGREE. It's Disco Belle ROSEY RED. Please move my three pics to the DISCO BELL ROSEY RED FILE. Just don't delete them....please...

Thanks BAA, and Weezingreens.
