not really! The plant manager at HD gave me a packet of something he uses on his plants to see if I liked it. Well I used some about a month ago on my Coriacea and wow, it has grown like wildfire. Of course he won't tell me what it is, and only gives it to me in a plastic baggie:-).

Wow Awanda, that's awesome!! Hmmm.... sounds like magic hoya dust to me if made your coriacea grow like that. Mine could use some!
By the way, do you keep your coriacea pretty consistently moist? Or, do you let it dry out a bit?

Hey T I had to see if it was going to work first:-). I'm sending you some. Ann I let my Coriacea dry out before watering. I have found that it does not like wet feet.

Come on now, if you have magic dust, you best spread it around! After all, Hoya collectors are not greedy. Well, at least most are not.
Oh I forgot to ask Awanda. Is the magic dust for you or the hoyas?

Do you remember that powder Naz (I think it was her) had a couple of years ago that some of us tried? I don't think that it really had much results if I remember right.
I wonder if it is the same sort of stuff?

Mel I'm happy I didn't know this was a difficult hoya to grow! To answer your question regarding the hoya dust, the answer is "yes" :-). Marcy I can beg, but I doubt that it will do any good, he'll share, but he's not telling. It was Naz that sent the "other" white powder, but I thought it was supposed to help with rooting, and not so much the growth. I just mixed it into the soil, no repotting or anything.

Well, that could be the problem with mine, she has had wet feet for along time with all the rain we have been getting. My H. kerriii is looking kinda drab too.
Please send some rain this way Tammy! My rain dances are not working and I fear the neighbors will soon send the men with the white coats carrying a straight jacket!
Sistah B now that you mention the "plastic baggie" I agree it doesn't sound legal and probably looked very illegal, specially since the powder is off white:-). We finally got some much needed rain last night and I was able to almost fill up my water bucket. Sorry Mel it wasn't enough rain to send you any:-) Tami's the one who is getting all the rain and she's probably hoarding it:-).

Mel I have been trying to send the rain out of here for a month. I'm sure it should be there any day. I have been hoarding alot of it though :) Lord knows once August is over we wont get any rain for months... Until it Snows....... Hoarding??? Who was out in there jammies in the middle of the night ??? LOL
