metallic taro beginning to bloom

Exciting to me too. I'm a long way from a bloom, dont know if it blooms at all. Mine is just labaled taro. Post a pic when it is in full bloom please.

vizz - those are pretty plants. That one EE has a very long stalk!

AuntB - Yeah....those are Bengal Tiger Stripe Cannas behind the Taro. They are throwing off pups like crazy. If you want some we'll have to arrange for your daughter to stop by sometime when she is in town

Yeah Capt, it does have a long stalk, the tag just says green taro, shallow water plant, but I repotted in potting soil.

Those metallic leaves are just beautiful.

Hey capt,
In the second picture, the yellow flower on the left, is that a canna with green leaves and a burgundy stripe????????? Which one is it??? I definitely need to find one of those.
It is absolutely beautiful and very unique.

Both the foliage and the flowers are variable on Cleopatra. You never know how much variegation you will get on either. It's one of my favorite canna!
