My 1st EE

Tacoma, WA(Zone 8a)

Just started this season with these. Run of the mill EE bulbs, from local hardware store. I think I like them, will try different types next season.

That burg, is a (Wayside Gardens, my last purchase from them ever!!) When I got it last year, it was about three inches tall, all beat up from shipping, in terrible shape. I babied it all season, carried it over, I got three in a collection, no names, just white, pink, yellow.. none have bloomed but they have big beautiful leaves.Maybe before winter they will bloom. If not there is always next season.. LOL. Gardeners are always waiting.

I feel your pain Viv! I lost all mine last year when I moved. I begged to get new ones on the brug forum. Several people were really kind and sent me some. Now I have to laugh because they were such great cuttings that most are blooming really small and the blooms are in the foliage. You send me some height and I'll send you some blooms!!

It's a deal Badseed... LOL I got some great starts from wonderful DG'ers, and ordered some from Logee's.. they are all doing wonderful... got buds on some that DH picked up from HD, actually he recued them.. they looked dreadful when he got them..I think he felt sorry for them.. but none of ours were budding yet.. and these were. We fed and watered.. and they are all coming into the second flush now...

There is something you forget about until you smell it and wonder how you live without it! LOL We've been running a lot lately and not getting back until dark. We always have the car windows open. When we pull in at night, we are greeted by the smell of blooming brugs. Once you experience that, nothing else compares!

The only plants I've been able to compare is the maypop fragance and if you get a nose full of helietrop (sp) wonderful vannilla smell. But I agree burgs perfume everything everywhere, I can smell them in my bedroom at night. I'm hooked!!
I'm waiting for the next flush.
