I don't know if you ever ramble on about silly things like this, but I decided to give it a try...! ;-)
What started me thinking about this was realizing that I'm not the only one who sees gardenias as snobby primadonnas! "Oooh, I don't think I have enough water here... oh, please, stop it, you are drowning me! Silly girl! And do get the sun off my face, it makes me drowsy... and where's my acid, girl?!!! I'll be performing in a few hours and I need my acid, or I can't bloom at all!"... hm!
Well. Not me, really. We get along fine, but she makes me feel insecure.... LOL
I think I'm a....
...jasmin bush! That's it! My motto is " What can't kill you can only make you stronger".
Think I'm too plain?? Ah! Wait until spring is here! Maybe too wild? Look closely at my tiny blooms - have you ever seen such a delicate thing? You perhaps think I'm invasive. Well, if you want me here, I'll be here for you. If you don't, get me moving. And believe me, if I don't like YOU, there's nothing you can do to keep me rooted!
But please don't make the mistake of thinking that I need no maintenance or care! I do! Just keep me happy - it's true it doesn't take much - and I'll be with you for life!
I hope you have fun reading this. I sure had fun writing it!
Now, please introduce me to your plant personas! :-)
Love
MyHiraeth
What plant would you say you are???
Well I coudn't be anything other than a Busy Lizzie now, could I?
I don't like to sit in direct sun for to long. Really, I perform better in the shade but I do like to be in a warm climate. Impatient????? - Never!!!
LOL
I think I may be a dandelion, I'm almost everywhere, pop up in some unlikely places, hard to uproot and have an untidy mop on top of my head.
Sometimes though I'd like to think I'm a foxglove, a shy, delicate looking thing hiding in the shadows.
Have you got the time Digitalis wannabe?;)))))
This is fun!!! Thanks for playing along!
Baa, you'd be bored to death after a while!!!! LOLOLOL
I like the dandelions much better!!
Lizzie, last NIGHT we had 28º C here in Lisbon... shady enough, but I think I'll move to the UK or Ireland if it keeps up!!!
No we wen't down to about 26 (where is the degree symbol on the keyboard?) last night but it has been in the 30s recently. I don't mind it - I'm just happy to be here. As long as it stays within normal range I don't worry and I sleep like a log!!
Hey Lizzy! The degree symbol is the second key to the left of the enter key in my keyboard, but I've seen all kinds of keyboard displays recently..
It's too hot for me! I also sleep like a log, but I have to use the air conditioner. But your home probably has better climatization. Mine is the 7th and last floor of an apartment building from the 60's. And the windows face south, east, and north on the kitchen side. There's not much I can do to keep the heat out!
I think in Spain they had more inteligent architecture concerning weather conditions back in the 60's...
Anyway, I'm glad you are feeling happy there, that's the main thing!! :-)
I also like my hot house LOL, but I 've been to Ireland last May and it was soooo nice there! And when I got back, there was heat wave in Portugal... and Spain too, I think. 39º C in May. Just great... I thought I'd go back to Dublin again!!!!
I' think I'd better keep my trap shut about the British Isles and their weather...lovely in summer....LOL enough!
BizzyLizzy every time there is a gale it seems to be no o'clock LOL
The weather is too unpredicatable here, I walked the dog this morning and took a jumper just in case with me, yesterday I wore a light jumper and boiled quietly LOL. The week before last I'd have happily worn nothing, well if no one could see me ;)
Funny, that!!!!!
About the nakey thing....wouldn't want to frighten the natives now would we;) My husband has no such scruples - and I wish I could be that unpreoccupied...sigh.
Baa - you will always look like a generously populated dandilion clock in my minds eye!!!!
Myhi....which number key does it share? because I cannot see it for toffee.
Well, unpredictable weather can be annoying, but this constant heat is driving me nuts! I wish it would rain, or be cool, or something. I don't think I could live in one of those countries where the weather hardly changes throughout the year. I miss being cold! LOLOL So your description sounds just jolly, Baa!
Lizzy, I'm not sure you'd have the C's key. I guess keyboards are somewhat customized according to language. We use the same symbol as the contraction of the word "primeiro" - it looks like "1º " Not really a contraction, but you see what I mean.
In my qwerty keyboard it doesn't share a number, it's the key before last in the middle letter row. Try looking up for the symbol in type of letter menu on your computer, and then you can customize a specific key for it ... I'd jump over and give you a hand, but I think I'm too heavy for the throw!! LOL
LOL yes I think you have a Portuguese keyboard. One of these days I will get it sorted!!!
