This is the first time I have had blooms, does anyone have any growing tips? They are the cutest little puffs I have seen! Joelle

Joelle, I think they look like little fireworks displays... just leave the flowers alone and seed pods will follow later on, then save the seeds to start more for next spring.Just watch out for the thorns... LOL

Did you start it from seed?? There is a big one in my BF's yard and I can get the seed to germinate... put it in frig/freezer/soaked in water.... I think they are so dainty and fern looking.

Fireworks! Yes that is exactly what they look like. Will keep watch for seeds and thorns.

AuntB, I bought it last year as a little specimen plant. Thanks for the germination instructions.

IM, those weren't instructions; tried and failed attempts. I don't know why I want to grow one, I can enjoy BF's anytime, but I thought it would be fun to have one closer to the house in a pot.

B, look around under the tree, sometimes they re-seed there.

I thought about that, but they mow under and around it...

Botton heat and peel the seeds first, they have a shell on them.

Thank you Kyle. The blooms were short lived, I had thought they would last much longer.

Thanks Eclipse, I'll try it.
