Anyone know the name of this plant? I got one this year and all it said was Voodoo Lilly

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

that looks like a costus

I think it is a voodoo lily-definitely not a costus ginger

Anyone know what kind of type or name of Voodoo lily this is?

I checked the PF, you are right--voodoo lily. My var. costus grows in a circular pattern and sort of looks like the above pic, but it is not a costus for sure.

Oh, I know this... Venosum Typhonium, or Voodoo lily. Did it bloom a maroonish color flower? I picked some up at a garden show in Wichita a few years ago, I love the tropic leaves and the flower is pretty too. I didn't find the bloom smells bad like the other "voodoo" lilies (amorphaphallus).

Hi everyone,
Bonnie, this is but one of the Voodoo lilies. This is a 'purple dragon', then there is a green... Janlyn shared some with me, they're sprouting up, but now flowers yet. I love these plants.

This was the plant that led me to DG when I purchased it in 2006, it's the Amorphophallus bulbiifer, another Voodoo lily. It grew two years, withered and left behine 4 bulblets. 2 have sprouted. Yeahhhh!!!
