any one ever try Grafting any Brugs ? Paul
Grafting ?
I've never tried it, but it surely wouldn't surprise me if it worked - brugs have the strongest sense of survival of any plant I've ever worked with - of course kudzu does too, but brugs are beautiful and fragrant, in a category all their own. Let us know what you learn, if you try it...
Paul, The first people to try grafting that I ever met personally was in early 1999. Initially they were successful. After the initial success I never heard anything else about the experiments.Through the years since then there's been lots of other people that have tried grafting. Same ending to the story is we never hear anything else about the experiments. Apparently something went wrong and the plants did not survive. Possible proof of that is as of 2006 you never see grafted brugs for sale in local nurseries or on the internet anywhere. You never see posts on any of the forum brug sites to show positive results.
I guess it's always good to try try try again and not let other's failures discourage you. Who knows? You might be successful. And if you fail you could at least explain to the rest of us what went wrong :) Go for it!
go for it... My grandpa was great at grafting oranges, lemons, grapefruit,,, maybe that would be a good place to search for information... Elaine
