Loveys

Sugar Land, TX(Zone 9a)

Here's my new little visitor this evening. We used to have them by the handful but the population has withered and I miss them so much!

A few weeks ago we were driving down the freeway and my daughter spotted one on my passenger side mirror, hanging on for dear life. I pulled over to the nearest stop and the little guy crawled behind the mirror. There was no way to rescue him without smushing him. I can only hope he waited until we got back home to jump on the nearest tree.

It's a little tree frog. They are adorable! And I've always called them my loveys because I love them so.

How weird, it doesn't really look like a frog, I thought it was a moth.

When I first moved into my house (about 15 years ago) every night there would be about 20 of them on big big window. Now I'm lucky if I see two. They are sooooo cute.
