Dwarf Kerrii

Did you see the new "dwarf 'Kerrii' from a seller in Thailand on Ebay? I wonder if it is really a dwarf, or if it just happened to be one with a few smaller leaves or some such thing?
Anyone hear of this hoya before?

I saw that too, Marcy.
I thought it strange that the seller said he could get a phyto if asked to. My Brother lived in Thailand for many years. He tried to send me Hoya cuttings w/o the proper import stamps and phyto and every time, they were intercepted by APHIS. All I got was a nasty letter and an empty box. He even tries wrapping them in Thai silk. At least that time I got the silk!

I would be leery of ordering without the proper documentation included.

Oh, I wouldn't bid on anything from that far anyway. Shipping & the other charges would probably not make it worth it. Besides, if it is a legit plant, it won't be long before US sellers will be offering it too.
From the looks of it, the leaves are very close together. (totally unlike the regular kerriis). I am wondering if it is crossed with something like pachyclada or something? Maybe a hybrid.

The Thai Government can and WILL issue a Phyto if they have an Import Permit. Same as most other countries in the world!!! What that fellow in Thailand has to allow him to ship freely is a mystery...but perhaps it is an Uncle in the Ag. Department in Thailand....?

Exactly. I ordered several consignments from Thong in Thailand and sent him the import stamps and he went through the proper procedures and the packages arrived without a hitch.
