Sorry don't know which forum to post in .
I looked for a camera forum - couldn't find . It's time for a new one [ camera ] .
Which camera takes a picture closest to real color ?
Probably be an SLR Digital - prefer one that takes Compact Flash [ I have a cheapie that uses Compact Flash memory - an HP that came with a printer ] I went with HP because the printer uses same ink cartage as my computer printer or SD [ thats what my movie camera uses ] . I'll keep the printer , it's portable and save old camera as a loaner .
It's loaned out right now and I had to take a picture of a white Hibiscus with movie camera today . It finally opened all the way . The yellow in stamum isn't the right color .

What software do you use to edit your pictures?

I am on a Mac . I use what came with camera and Iphoto .
I still have OS9.22 that I can use use Photoshop and Illustrator with , but it wasn't worth updating .
I prefer to shoot and print . When I go to a party or wedding , I take everyones digital pictures , install them on my Powerbook and burn copies .
It makes the photo people mad , but when they want $4 a picture and will mail it to you in a month or so - no comment .
About 4 years ago I was at a big wedding ,I got 4 family shots - [ 4 different families ] that came up from Mexico . Brides family , groom's family , brides godparents and grooms grandparents
When I handed out the family group pictures , a couple of the older Grandmother's cried . Since then I carry the printer , computer , camera and movie camera to all the birthday parties - weddings - 1st communions , Baptisms etc .
The last big one was a 85th birthday party in Mexico last year . It took 2 CD's for the pictures . I took a package of 50 CD's and used them all . Sorry for being so long winded but you can see why I want correct color .

Dave's does have a Photography forum with lots great information and experienced users of all types of digital cameras. I hope you find it useful. Wish I knew more and could answer your question here.
