Rooting leaves

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

Look, the small container is about 2 weeks old now, and the new one is almost a week old, and their not dead LOL

Doing great, I did bring them inside from the greenhouse, it was so hot out there , they were wilting, and now sitting in the kitchen window doing really good, I hope to get babies soon, and I"ll have lots of new begonias, What a great way to get them too, although it takes alot longer to get your new plants. I'm so hoping that I can do the rooting this way and maybe try it again in the future.

p.s. there is a rex leaf in there too, I hear that your not suppose to be able to root the rex like that? anyways it's doing well too. and I've heard of other folks rooting their rex like this, so I thought i'd try.

That's a great set up & very similar to the one I used to use for my begonias. You should have great luck rooting them like that.

Good Luck,

Hi Kathy. What medium are you using for the cuttings and do you keep them covered? They look very good to me.

Looks like you have a nice setup there. You'll have to keep us updated on the progress. I have lots of begonias that I'l like to take cuttings and start new babies.

I also have had great success with perlite and these mini terraiums set in my kitchen garden window.
