I love that name, Doris. Is Brittany the name of one of your kids or grandchildren? How cool is that!!

I have noticed here how strong the Frosty looking genes like in Isabella, are in so many seedlings from their crosses. I much prefer yours in looks with the lower calyx and the longer tendrils. It kept the nodding trait too which I like also. It also seems to have nice healthy leaves too.

From what I have learned about Big Yella, Charles Grimaldi was a parent. And CG had Frosty Pink as a parent, so your Brittany has the Frosty look from both sides. It would be interesting if you crossed Brittany with a yellow whose both parents were hybrid yellows, too see if you could get a deep yellow rimmed suav hybrid with the suav traits even more toned down but still with the full suav nod. I love the hybrids that take the best from each.

CONGRATULATIONS DORIS!

Doris,
Great cross! Please post a picture when it is fully opened. I
hope some of my seeds from you are from this cross.

It's so much fun to see what everyone else is growing. I makes my 'waiting for a bloom' go easier -

Wow! This one definitely resembles her Mom. Isabella has many different looks unlike Frosty Pink. Calyx, flower neck, flower color, the way the flower hangs, they all change with Isabella. She is known as the brug with many faces. :) Isabella is a good Mommie and produces pretty kids. I like your brug and the name Doris. Congratulations!

Oh Doris, I now remember you telling me about her. My heart goes out to you. What a tragedy. And what a loving thing to do in her memory.

Doris, she is awesome!!! I'm really glad that you have "Brittany". Just remember we have one that will soon be blooming also, she still has a way to go yet.
