Available: "Wintersweet Bush" (Chimmanthus praecox) seeds

Hi, everyone,

I have an abundance of these seeds this year from my Wintersweet Bush. A whole plate-full. I will post some pictures below.

If you want any, please send me a D-mail. I want nothing in return, just a SASE. Because these seeds are the size of black sunflower seeds, it will require a small padded envelope and a 63 cent postage.
Since I have so many seeds, I will send you a generous amount.

Just fyi--It takes about 5 years for this plant to "bloom". It can only be propagated by seed.

Here is what the seed pods look like on the bush. They are not yet quite ripe.

The seeds are quite large. Here's a bunch and a quarter for comparison.

And, lastly, here is what the "blooms" look like. They are very fragrant and it blooms in late winter. In my zone (7a) end of February--beg. of March.

I am bumping this up in case someone missed it the first go, because I still have a lot of seed from this bush. I also now have propagation difections for these seeds (thanks, Terry!) which will be included.
