This is the second year for my PC and it gets watered at lease 2 and sometimes 3 times a day. I use plain tap water. Should I be putting water in a bucket and sitting it out in the sun to remove the chlorine then water it. It has been blooming and I thought maybe by it blooming it was taking away all the juice from the plant. So I have been removing the bloom as soon as I see one coming on. Or is it just our 100* to 107* days that is taking a tow on it? I have a couple more planted in another bed that is in worse shape then this one hate to show it cause it looks so bad, but it is the first year on these two. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brian pretty please look at my pink China
It could be a few things one is lack of water and though I water a lot just about every day. If I miss it on one good hot day and it starts to droop you will get this burning on the edges. This is because the water is not making it to the outer rim of the leaves and this is exactly what this looks like. One good 100f day and this could happeden. It will recover quickly. I would removed the brown area and keep the rest till the leaf is replaced by new leaves.
The other thing it could be is spidermites they seem to get very bad when its dry out and their is little wind movement. I would check the back of the leaves for any white spots or gray looking dust this would be spidermites if you see it. I am thinking though heat and lack of water from the looks of it. Don't get to upset it should survive easily through this. You may want to add mulch or leaves around the base it will help hold in moisture for the plants.
Thanks Brian I have checked for spidermites and didn't seem to see any. Which doesn't mean that they aren't there, just haven't seen any sign of them. I was more worried about the chlorine in our water. But I will get some mulch and put it around all three of my plants. Yes this weather we have been having hasn't helped anything at all. According to our weather man it doesn't look like we are going to get any kind of a break either.
Thanks again
Linda
