MONDAY, Aug 7: Texas "Coffee" and Gardening in the Morning

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

Three more days of "vacation" for me and then the early morning hours begin!! :)

I made coffee for guests the other day and it was horrible....

Nivlac from San Antonio....where are you? Did you get the fig tree planted yet?

hey coonie, just on break at work and HEY what are you doing up so early?

Got the fig tree still in the pot. It is looking very healthy and has started growing 4 figs. I hope to start digging or pick axing some holes in the backyard and will definately make a whole for the fig tree. It really is toooo hot to work in the yard. The lite rain we got yesterday was nice and hope for more. My plants take of growing and producing veggies after rain water. They react slower with city water.

I am writing but realize you have prob gone to bed. You sure were/are up late tonight.

Haha..you think LATE? LOL....I'm still up because I took a NAP today!! That always messes me up for several days...you still on? So glad the fig tree is doing well...I LOVE figs..Perhaps when the fencing is complete here I can buy another and plant it....

Good morning! Have a cup of tea on the brew with a sprig of chocolate mint leaf in it. Now that's a good way to start the day!

The rain last night was fabulous (about 40 minutes' worth), but I think the forecast is for hot & steamy today. There are plenty of things to like that are hot & steamy, of course -- donuts fresh off the fry vat, Mexican cocoa, Tom Yum Kha soup, Mark Harmon -- but weather ain't one of them.

Perhaps cool is just a state of mind. Let us channel Cool.

Good morning!
