As I am typing this message..it is raining hard here...anybody else???
Raining
Send some here, it's dry as a bone.
I love that smell...can't really remember it though lol
Okay I got about 15 min of hard rain...so I don't have to water tomorrow..lol
Ya'll quit bragging!
Love that little cottage shed!
Just rained cats and dogs here....at one point it was coming down so hard I had visions of all my potted plants flying across the yard. And the water wasn't soaking into the dry ground so I had a nice lake forming at my back door. But no complaining here....we definitely needed it!

Yes, it rained! Hoping for MORE, MORE and MORE! Abscence DOES make the heart grow fonder!
It spit on us as it went over!
We got a good gusty wind, and clouds, but only got spit here too!
From last night till afternoon today we got an inch and 1/10th. Yea!!!!!!! That will help a little.
Again today, we got missed. Not enough to wet the chair cushions. :-(
Not even a drop today. Discouraging.
We finally got a little, not enough to even top off the birdbath.
It poured in Dublin and a few other places - or should I say spots?, but not in Duffau yesterday. Today it rained again in Dublin, but unsure what it did in Duffau.
My potted plants are drowning - even ones w/ holes in the bottom.
It poured down yesterday evening here for about 1 hour...
Poured here yesterday and today both...I'm so happy no hoses to drag as I work 60 hours this week.
well it did it again today..rained..and I am getting webfeet!!!!!
No rain. Just HOT and DRY.
Same here.
Thankful for the rain the last three days here--no hand watering pots or dragging sprinklers around--cooler afternoon temps--garden perfection.
We missed the daily monsoon out here today but it rained down in Bellaire.
Yikes!! Glad it was over there and not here. need no more rain for now...need to mow my yard...
It's raining here It's raining here!!! I thought it was going to rain last night but all of it was about 15 miles north and west. But I woke up this morning to beautiful rain! This will be the first measurable rain in McKinney in at least 3 months, because all the showers have completely missed us. Can you tell I'm excited?
It's was a nice steady rain, not blustery or pouring. It seems that it's slowing but hopefully we will get a little bit more. I got my butt out of bed and set up trashcans and buckets where I could around the house and the big trash can is more than half full. I really need to get a real rain collecting system going.
Lucky you Stacey, it missed us completely. Oh well !!!
Sweezel I know how you feel. YA! YA!
We finally got some up here and broke the back for one day of the over 31 days of 100 plus. Now to see what will come back to life. LOL Sitting back today and not have to drag out all the hose.
Bought four white plastic barrels last week to make me a rain collecting system also. Now to put up some rain gutter and connect them all together.

Drats! I had a rain squall come thru here after lunch....no mowing again..will be haybaling next...
No rain here today--guess I'll have to water some clay pots....got kinda used to and liking the fact they were taking care of themselves. I haven't had to water the lawn by dragging around the sprinklers in a couple of weeks. I REALLY like that.
;)
Yea Debbie, rub it in will you? It rained again around the metroplex, but none for us.
What to do?
Nor us Josephine. It hit all around us, yesterday but nothing here. It even rained at the Rangers game in Arlington near you. Bummer! We did get a sprinkle Friday, just enough to knock the dust off of a few leaves. You could still see dry spots on walkways where it didn't even get all the way through the trees though. So we had to water the yard last night. I don't know how long it has been for us since we got even a quarter inch, I think about 3 months.
Yes Sheila It is becoming quite a chore just to keep things alive, if we let anything go one day without watering we just about loose it. The heat cooks everything, I surely hope it changes soon.
