This is an odd looking creature I found on my Meyer Lemon. DonnaB or who knows I would sure like to know. Also how do you look up something like this? I don't have any books and on line you go through a millon bugs and I just don't have the time to look at all of them.................LOL
The fellow is sooo cool looking...........any one know what he is gonna be??

I have no idea, but you are right...neat little guy. DonnaB will surely be around to answer that, I'm sure :) You could maybe do a google search with the name of your tree, with the word caterpillar on it, and it might come up with the type of butterfly that uses it as a host plant.

So far, with searching that way, I've come up with an Eastern Black Swallowtail, Giant Swallowtail and Snowbush caterpillars.

it is a Giant Swallowtail cat called a Orange Dog. Congrats!!!!

WOW, so this was a good find huh.........glad I got a shot of it so you could all see it. This one is pretty big and it was kinda scary looking but I though it was sooo cool.....
