Weight Loss Challange Aug 5- 12th

Boy, here we are in another month! Where does time go? Usually August is central MO's hottest month. How about the rest of you? I use to hear about the dog days of summer and that that was when rabies was most apt to occur. We don't hear much about rabies anymore tho. I guess the vacines have pretty well kept it under control.

I know we don't vacinate like some people do. Since most of ours rarely go past the yard I don't bother with it. It is also such an expense if I did all of the critters. I really should keep Darcy done tho since she is out and about the fields so much. She is the most likely to contract anything like that. The one kitty we had who did a lot of hunting seems to have disappeared. She has been gone for over a weeks now and no one has seen her. I had to order Frontline for Penny. The Sargent's I got didn't do her a bit of good. Poor little thing is fighting fleas already. I'm using garden and livestock dust on her until it gets here early next week.

We are getting the Walker mower with 48" till up deck and bagger. We saw it on Thursday and the banker gave us the go ahead yesterday morning. We'll go do the paperwork and pick it up on Monday. This is a dream come true for both Jack and I. It will make sharpening the blades so much easier for him to do. I have wanted a bagger for years. We need to measure the trailer we have and make sure it will fit on it. Otherwise we will have to pay to have it delivered.
