On Tuesday, August 1st, we had to say goodbye to our first child, very good friend and companion, Lassen. With all the symptoms she was displaying, the vet said it was more than likely kidney failure. They said they could run a blood test, but I knew in my heart it was her time and I didn't want to see her suffer anymore.
Lassen was the best cat I have ever known and no other cat will ever replace her. I miss her so much, but I know that she is in a better place now.
I held her while the vet put her to sleep........it only took a few seconds and she was gone. That's probably one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life.
