Please send my 3rd grade class a postcard from your chickens

Hi fellow chicken and livestock lovers.
As some of you know, I am not only a chicken nut, but a teacher.
This year I am teaching basic geography skills when we go back to school.

If you get a chance, could you please send my class a postcard from your hometown, henhouse, etc.? THey'd love to hear from your hens and roos.

We are using them to learn about distance and mapping.

Such a fun idea! (we did this when to my kids' classes from the gingerbread man!) I'll be sending one from Arizona soon!

Thank you so much! I have recieved the ones from Dingydoo and Eufaula. They are wonderful. I really apprciate it. School starts in a few days. We are having a chicken themed classroom this year and the kids are going tro go nuts over them!!

And of course, if anyone ever wants a post card from NH we'd be more than happy to return the favor :)

Question...do you need postcards periodically sent throughout the year? And...do we sign them 'from the chickens'?

Whatever you would like would be wonderful. They can be from the chickens or from you. We are going to start the year by learning mapping skills. We are going to keep the map up all year, so as we get postcards we can add them to the map and to the graphs we are making. So whatever works for you is great.

Ok...a postcard went out from my hens this morning (Saturday the 2nd)...hope it reaches you soon!

Backyardhens, we sent you a card yesterday from the gang here at Whoville Egge Company in Northeast Georgia!

THank you so much! We started going through them today, and the kids were bananas about them, especially the chicken ones. They love the idea that chickens are writing to them from all over the country!

We have a chicken themed classroom, so that helps, too. Eufaula ( i think) sent us this BEAUTIFUL watercolor letter. Everyone has been taking turns reading it over and over. THanks everyone!
