For years I have been growing a lovely little hoya, and I hadn't a clue as to the name...for some reason it went to "label heaven' and the plant just kept on growing...I had huge plants/no labels. So, having some nekkid trees, I planted 3 of the plants out to get them to bloom to get closer to an ID. A few months ago they bloomed...and DLiddle confirmed it was a H. diptera....
Eureka...Ted Green has just published this little beauty as H. vanuatuanensis!!! It has it's very own name!!! and it IS a sweetheart of a plant: lovely green not too large leaves, short internodes and lovely yellow flowers....
This is a 4 year saga with a happy ending!!!

Never give up!!!
Carol, Kudo's to you! Where are the photos? -joanne
Congratulations Carol, that must be thrilling!! Do you have pictures to show us? I would love to see!

Carol; I can't put a photo of the cover directly into the message board because it's in pdf format but I can scan it and post it as a document file. The quality probably won't be as good as the real thing but it will give everyone an idea of what it looks like. I'll also post page 5 which shows a close up of the flowers.

Excellent, Ann. Thank you so much. Well, another one to put on my "gimme" list. I love the forest green color of the foliage.
Ann
Wow!! Pretty! Another one to add to my list, too. :)

Carol, could this be the same plant I brought home from you labeled as NOID small leaf? If so, yippee....
How much light is you plant getting. I have mine under the eaves of my house so it's only getting very faint morning sun.
Kukana...yes, that's the plant. The same one we stuck out in the woods in two or three places...they are growing like gangbusters!!! The plants outside get morning sun, and all day bright indirect light. Tomorrow I will try to remember to take photos of them growing on the trees...they haven't taken OFF...but making a move...anyday now!
