basil mint: what do people do with it?
I have never heard of basil mint, but I would suspect it would work well in all of the recipes for salads, main dishes. It would probably make terrific mint jelly for meats. Would it be good in juleps, mojitos, and brownies? Here, I think you have to experiment.
Does it just smell like basil, or does it taste kind of like it too? If it tastes similarly to basil, perhaps you could use it most places that you use basil. Especially in green salads, where it would probably be less noticable that it's not actually basil since you can hide it with other greens :-) Do you have any pictures you can post? I've not ever seen or heard of this type either.
It smells nothing like basil actually. I despise the smell, it's more like eau de cologne mint. Very much like it actually. I'd burn it myself...
