What it is?

Longview, WA

Anybody tell me what this puppy is? She has 4 pups on her and I'll mail one to the first person that correctly identifies her if they so desire! The picture is kind of dark, but it has round green spots instead of the horizontal pattern on my Neoregelia Rubrovittata Fuego.

Thanks very much!

Looks like Neo. "Spot On" :-)

IMHO it is impossible to know for sure. There are hundreds (probably thousands) of Neo hybrids and many that look the same with different names (or at least different labels.)

Marty, I am certainly no expert at bromeliads, though I have learned quite a bit in the last few months! Your plant looks exactly like mine (to me at least!)
Someone very helpful identified it as Neoregelia AZTEC, and after further investigation, this appears to be accurate... let me know what you think - hereis picture of mine - and there is another of the same plant at a different angle in a forum post I made...

Hi Abbie,

Sorry took me so long to reply. I haven't been on in quite awhile. I do believe your right though! When you mentioned the name it reminded me of when I bought it. They look exactly alike to me. Thanks so much for your insight!
