Unusual Tigridia pavonia

One of my Tigridia pavonia blooms opened without it's usual markings.

And here is what it should have looked like.

How odd!

Now that is interesting. I just love those things, I do have a few that don't have "freckles", they look a little plain. Is this a seedling, do you have a "seed defect". I think its very pretty, not so flashy but very nice. I am going to do some from seed this year, I have 3-4 differant colors, may get something unusual if they crossed.

No, not seeds. These were from bulbs purchased and planted this spring. The bulbs were bought at Walmart though. So who knows! LOL
