Started from a seed first bloom!

In this climate the blooms have taken FOREVER to open and I've been so eager to see what color it is. It has made three branches, too! It lives inside for most of the year and gets so happy to go out to the porch for the summer -- don't know what I'm going to do when it gets much bigger, though. My friend brought me the seed three years ago. That is a good advertisement for how easy they are to start because I'm not great at starting anything from a seed!

Congrats. The blooms are super cute!! Do they have a fragrance??

OH very well done! Impressive; it looks lovely and a bit like my Gardenia Fragrant one.... what does yours smell like?? The whites are generally the most fragrant.

Very nice! It takes three years to bloom from seed on average so you are not behind the regular time frame. Your bloom could change over the next couple of years as well. They say never throw a first-year seedling out because it could look totally different in the second and third year. I've seen pictures of some drastic changes in seedlings over the first, second, and third year. Neat!

Thank you for the compliments! It is fragrant -- although not strong. It has a little clove-y scent that is lovely. I have learned so much from this forum -- everything from how to pot it up to what the blossom stalk looks like and I love having access to experts who are willing to share. Knowing the blossom could change is incentive to keep it healthy and gives me something to anticipate when long winters are making plumeria blooms seem so long ago!
