Oriental Lily 'Dizzy'
Lilium

Taken 30th July 06. My first Dizzy, larger than my medium sized hand. Nicely scented but not overpowering.

It's an amazing lily, the flowers face upward and seems to attract just about every insect there is. I had a Red Admiral butterfly on it today. They like the nectar from the spots.

K, with a bit of imagination it can send you dizzy!

Well this is my first year, so mine have opened before yours? I did start them off in pots.

The second one has more red flushing through the petals.

Love this lily. We had oriental lilies along a walkway where I work and as soon as you got near them you could smell them. They smelled so good i was walking around with my nose stuck up in the air sniffing. Then I got up close to them and they still smelled good! Gonna try to get some next year to plant. Too late this year and we are having a major drought so it wouldn't survive.
