Wanted: lili seeds

Greenfield, IN(Zone 5a)

Hi,
I am looking for some zone 5 lili seeds. I have many plants to trade. I am fond of the tall ,brightly colored, large, long lasting blooms. I am new and appreciate any advice. Thank you, Rachel

Hooks, TX

Rachel,
I have this year seeds from a red amaryllis with a white center and can send some to you . I will post a picture below. I also have fresh seed from a red velvet one that is also very large with four huge blooms per stem and they last many, many days. The only thing is - from seed- they take at least 3 years to grow to bloom size.

I still owe you from the big box you sent that cost so much postage earlier this year and can just send you some.
LMK if you would like to get these.

Hi Louise,

Good to hear from you! How big are the grasses?
Can we DM about the lili seeds? Rachel

Hooks, TX

Rachel,
Hi! My grasses are about 2 ft. tall now and are doing fine. I can send some of both of the lily seeds if you want to grow them out. Just LMK. I'll post a picture below of the red and white one with three blooms at once.

Rachel,

I have some lily bulblets, some rooted, some not rooted. Some fragrant and some not fragrant, and and a LOT of seeds coming along...you want outdoor plants, right? Or did you want Amaryllis which is not hardy outside here in Indiana?

Why don't you dmail me? Maybe you can make a road trip to Indianapolis and just pick them up! Or conversely, you can join the Indiana Lily Society.

Oh, I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner... this morning, I snapped a bunch of developing seed pods off an asiatic lily, figuring I wanted the plant's energy to go to the bulb instead. I am sure I missed some out in the oriental lily bed. I don't think you can expect them to come "true" since they're hybrids, but you might get something lovely.... Should I make a note to try to find some oriental lily seeds for your box this fall, or are you more interested in bulblets rather than growing from seed?
