Not the greatest of pictures--enjoying the lantana. Any ideas on an ID for me?

That is one of the Checkered Skippers. But whether it is the Common Checkered Skipper (http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=2012) of the White Checkered-Skipper (Pyrgus albescens) http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=2013
I couldn't begin to say. Both species are found in Texas

Thank you very much! That at least narrows it down much more where I can look up both species host plants and make sure I have them.

could also be the Tropical one given your location.

I thought I was blind because I couldn't see the little butterfly until the end of the picture. Impatient am I.

Thanks Donna and Kennedy--I will make sure I have host plants just to cover all those 3 possibilities.
Makeshi--You are so right--not a good pic, but if I cropped it anymore it was too blurry to use. Plus I'm not a great photographer either.
