HAVE: caryopteris x clandonensis

Athens, OH

Need a little something to spice up the garden in late summer?
Try this plant which blooms in late August. The bees and butterflies love it.

Have: three - 1.5+ foot plants.

Would like mature shade plants (no recently rooted cuttings or small divisions, please - they can't take the heat):
pulmonaria
brunnera
violets
toadlily
rhodhea
or tempt me.....
No hosta (the deer love them!)

I have Pulmonaria "Mrs. Moon", Japanese Painted Fern, Ostritch Fern, various pastel Astilbes, loads of wild violets (white & blue/white), Columbine & wild Meadow Rue (white). Let me know if anything interests you -
That is a lovely plant!

Julie-
Hello. I would love the pulmonaria and the painted fern. I also would like the meadow rue. I would even like multiples of the painted fern if you have them.

Would you like more than one caryopteris or can I temp you with other plants?
Coreopsis verticilata alba
helleborus foetidus
kerria japonica pleniflora (http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/54605/index.html)
kerria japonica variegata
begonia grandis (hardy begonia) [http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/722/index.html]
salvia 'Maynight' [http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/53540/index.html]
lysimachia punctata [http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/1126/index.html]
Physostegia virginiana variegata [http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/53768/index.html]

I would love some of you Hellebore or Rose Campion - such hardy & lovely plants!
The painted ferns spread fairly quickly - forming a thick mat of ferns. They are so attractive - & so easy too. The Meadow Rue can be invasive - it self seeds easily, so you end up with a little forest of Rues. The leaves are pretty, & they will almost form a groundcover after a few years. I just think I should tell you about them - no surprises :)

OK.. when I'm stuck in the forest of my new plants with a machette in hand, I'll remember that I was warned.
