Iron Might pump help

Langley, BC, BC(Zone 8b)

I had a recent pump disaster when automatic irrigation malfunctioned and sprayed directly onto the top of the (insufficiently protected) pump. My husband has taken it apart (a sponge was damp) and it now works, but is significantly noisier than before,

I don't find any links for maintenance of external pumps -- anyone got any helpful hints???? As the header notes, it is an Iron Might 48.

thanks

hortensia;
I just typed in iron might 48 pump, on google. Found quite a few listings. Midwest pump and spa being one of them;
Just looked back up to your location. Im sure there should be something closer if you check with pool and spa pumps. I will go in and try again later as I am heading into town to get some parts for my mower, and meeting DW there too. can't miss that!

My husband is the handy guy in the family so I asked him about this. He said oil would probably make the noise go away but you have to be really careful about what kind of oil you add to a pump for a water garden. The pump we have uses vegetable oil to lubricate the moving parts since its a submersible. I bet you can find a lot of information online about your brand pump. Good luck!

thanks everyone for your helpful responses. My husband had oiled the pump (it is an external pump, so fishsafe is for the most part not relevant) and though it was at first noisy as I noted above, it has quietened down over the couple of days usage.
