Sue...your plant is on the way. I'm sure it will grow good if it's anything like the momma plant. It grows great for me. It is one of my very most favorite hoyas since I adore variegated plants.

Congrats Sue she is a real little cutie.

Long Beach, CA

This is a lousy picture because it is not light enough in here to get a good one, but here is the momma plant that I started from a cutting last year. It grew like gangbusters, so I took cuttings from it in late fall. This seems to be an easy plant to please,.. for me anyway.

Gorgeous Marcy! You have the touch.

Definitely you have the touch!!! How do you grow it?

I got mine last fall and I grow it with all my other hoyas in the GH....but it seems sooooo slooooow. Any special treatment?

Carol

Long Beach, CA

No, nothing special. I had it hanging in an East window all winter then put it out on the olive tree this spring where it gets a little late afternoon sun. I let it dry out some before watering, like most of them. It gets the same fertilizer and occational spraying with Eleanors that all the rest of them do.
It's funny about these plants. Some of them just take off & grow, while others sit there with 2 or 3 leaves for years and never do ANYTHING. I had a glabra that only had one big leaf in a pot that I watered along with the rest for a solid 2 years without it doing anything. Suddenly it grew a long stem and then started growing more leaves. But I tell ya.....I was about ready to compost that thing. Ha.
Marcy

Come on Marcy. You must have it on steroids! :-)

You do grow. I can't imagine getting that large plant so soon from just a cutting.

I also have 'Lisa' and I have to agree with Marcy that it is a fast grower! I got mine as 3 rooted large cuttings (one moved abroad) and since I got it about a year ago it has more than doubled in size and I've cut several cuttings from it. It now has 2 peduncles on the way so maybe I'll get to see the flowers this fall.

Oh, I guess you are right. If I didn't cut mine it would probably grow just fine!!! HA HA HA

Turnerville, GA(Zone 7a)

How neat! I got to see the "momma" of baby Lisa...kind of like adopting a puppy! Can't wait until baby Lisa arrives and I can start "doting" on her. Hope be be able to show you pictures next year of a big Lisa, too.

Yipee....the mailman brought me an early Christmas (or late birthday) gift! Baby lisa has arrived in wonderful shape, and just so she wouldn't get lonely, Marcy sent along a wonderful, large cutting of H. publixalyx 'Dapple Gray'... Can you say Hoya heaven?
Marcy, you are a wonderful packer of plants, Lisa is perfect! (and so is the cutting)
Anyway, here is the promised picture...and then off to "play with my plants"...

Carol Packages her Lovely plants beautifully too and they are such gorgeous healthy plants.
