August Bingo Pick-Your-Card list

I'm getting the list typed up now. It will be in the second post shortly. I hope everyone will be happy with the choices! :o)

OK Here's your list!

critterologist is the cardholder for this month, so get those cards in to her soon! :o) She'll collect cards through Wednesday, August 9th, and I'll start calling on Friday, August 11th. (I changed this from how I had it earlier, so please take note.)

Your BINGO "card" consists of a list of 15 choices from the list below. Select the 15 that you would like to win, and dmail that list to critterologist.

Once the game begins, every day I will call one or more picks from my list, and you will keep track of which calls are on your list. Perhaps print your list out and check off the ones you have each day as I call them. When I have called all 15 on your list, post BINGO on this thread as soon as you can! You'll be the winner if you post BINGO first! Critterologist will then check your card and forward it to me.

All winners pay shipping for their BINGO boxes.

1st winner - everything on their bingo card
2nd winner - 2 packets Optimara AV food, 72 3.5 oz plastic cups, 1 shoebox size plastic tub, 5 sets of leaves
3rd winner - 1 packet Optimara AV food, 72 3.5 oz plastic cups, 1 shoebox size plastic tub, 3 sets of leaves

2nd and 3rd winners - you'll get a choice of the leaves I have available to share with you.

Hi wildbob! I'm glad you found your way over here! I was about to post a link on the other thread so you could find me! See, I'm feeling your esp already! LOL I can't wait til it's time to start calling them! :o)

I'm glad y'all are happy with my list! I struggled with what to put on it because I wanted to make it a good one! :o) I love those 3.5 oz cups, and I think the winners will, too. They are just a touch wider than the 3 oz cups, but seem to give the babies more room to spread out so they don't bunch up so much.

Let me know if you have trouble finding pictures of any of them. I started to post links to pictures of all of them, but I just don't have the time to do that right now. Any that are elusive, just holler and I'll link to or post a picture. :o)

Just to streamline things for when you win ;-), you might want to include your name & address with your BINGO card when you Dmail me. I promise not to sell the information to any african violet growers to use in their mailing lists, LOL.

I haven't printed out the lists yet, but I've got them saved on both the laptop and the main computer, plus of course they are in their own little Dmail folder on the DG server. :-)

Rain, can you tell me what 'shoebox size plastic tubs' looks like? Linda

Here are some leaf pots in a plastic "shoebox" container similar to the one RG is probably talking about. I think this is also what Allison has used to for leaf pots and plantlets. You can keep the lid on (vented a little is usually best) at first for additional humidity if needed in your growing environment, and it's very easy to bottom water by pouring in a quarter inch or so and pouring off any excess after 15 or 20 minutes.

Here's a picture of them. They come with the white lid, but I don't use it. I just set it on the back one so you could see it. They are approximately 12.5 inches x 6.5 inches. I forgot to measure the height, but you can get a decent perspective of that from the picture, I think. Those are 3 oz dixie cups the plantlets and leaves are in.

OK, I thought that was what it was. I have one but it has a pink lid. They are great. Linda

I have used the lids for trayes and bleached them for years. Still good ! I had 35 6 quart then many of the real big ones like sweater holder I like them better holds more leaves and tray holds lots of plants.
I never cover but if I did I'd put a light plastic with holes in it and don't let it touch the leaf. Watch humidity they can rot over night or less time.

I have been sending return Dmail when I receive a card. If you have not received a return Dmail from me, and if your name is not on the list, then I do not have your card. I don't want anybody to miss out because their card did not get to me. :-)
